Basic doula package
2-3 prenatal visits (1-2 hours in length)
This is where we will get to know each other and talk about your goals and preferences for your labor and delivery. Topics we can cover are, but not limited to, developing and writing birth plans, medication and pain management during labor, comfort techniques for during labor, postpartum support, breast/chest feeding, bottle feeding, and basic newborn care. All information provided will be unbiased and evidence-based.Support via text, email, or phone
You will have access to me from the time I’m hired throughout pregnancy until 12 weeks postpartum.Continuous labor and delivery support
Immediate postpartum support for 1-2 hours
One postpartum home visit
Within the first two weeks after birth, I will visit you and your new baby at home. At this visit we can talk about your birth experience, how you are settling in as a new parent, postpartum mood disorders, and I will answer any questions you might have.Access to community resources and referrals
Ability to check out books from my client library
Other services included as your labor doula:
Photos/video during labor and birth if requested.
Cost
Labor Doula support through Embracing Birth costs $1,000.
$500 is due at the time of hiring, with the remaining balance due by 37 weeks gestation.
While my doula work, time, and energy is valuable, I also understand some families are on tight budgets. I am willing to work with clients and set up monthly payment plans, or another arrangement to alleviate financial stress. I do not want cost to be a barrier for clients to receive care and support.
